If you are a new Christian, you have just experienced the beginning of your new, eternal life (John 3:16; 10:10). Your sins have been forgiven and you have been given a fresh start (Romans 4:7).
You are probably thinking, “Now what?” Well, now you need to grow in your new relationship with God.
Here are some simple ways to do that:
Begin Reading the Bible
We recommend you choose a Bible that is easy for you to understand and is faithful to the original text of the Bible. Some examples are the New Living Translation (NLT) and The New King James version (NKJV) which are available online. You can also download easy-to-use Bible apps such as You Version Bible App, which offers most of the Bible translations.
We recommend that you begin your reading with the Gospel of John or one of the other Gospels to read for yourself what Jesus taught and did during His time on earth. Many people find it helpful to use a Bible reading plan to help them read the Bible on a consistent daily basis. There are many Bible reading plans available on the internet and on Bible apps such as and Bible Gateway.com and You Version Bible App.
Prayer is simply talking with God. You do not need to use a formal set of words. The Bible also teaches us to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17). If you want to know God more deeply, you must communicate with Him regularly. Throughout each day, you can give thanks to God, ask Him to answer your daily needs, and pray on behalf of others.
It’s also important to pray together with others who follow Christ, so we encourage you to come to our weekly bible study/prayer service on Wednesday at 6:30 PM. You will learn to pray with and for others as we pray for the prayer requests that are received from all over the world, and you will be encouraged by how God answers prayer from the reports that are received.
You can submit your own prayer requests, answered prayers or questions you may have.
